If there is a possibility that Baseball/Softball games and/or practices will be cancelled due to weather-related issues, the latest information will be posted on the web site and outgoing voice mail of the Redding Boys and Girls Club.

To access the web site bulletins, go to www.rbgc.net and click the "Baseball and Softball" tab at the top. For the voice mail message, call 203-938-3166 and press "1".

Decisions on weather-related cancellations will be made no later than 90 minutes prior to the posted start time of games and/or practices. Games will be rescheduled as field availability permits.

Final decisions on cancellations are made by officials of the Easton and Redding parks and recreation departments and the executive director of the Redding Boys and Girls Club, depending on the field(s) involved.

As always our primary concern is the safety of our players, coaches and parents.

All this said, let's hope we don't have to worry about the weather too much this season.

The official RBGC thunder & lightning policy is as follows: Teams should get off the fields and seek shelter if THUNDER is heard. Teams should not return to the field for 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder.  Teams should not wait until lightning is visible. Coaches and Managers need to follow these rules without exception. NOTE: The Baseball & Softball Committee or other RBGC Board Members are authorized to call games due to weather and/or darkness.
